Sr. Financial Analyst Retail Credit | Location: KW Company: Alghanim Industries 


The candidate will be supporting Retail Credit function with meaningful business, financial and risk intelligence. The job holder is expected to contribute to the overall business planning, reporting and strategy.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop an understanding of the process, measures, and value drivers for the business.
  • Reporting to provide business intelligence and analytical support to the stakeholders, on topics like:
    • Key performance indicators/measures covering credit operational, financial and risk landscape
    • Credit underwriting, onboarding, customer segmentation and product preference - evaluation of sales opportunity and associated credit risk
    • Credit risk, delinquency, follow-up and recovery measures – developing credit scorecard/risk-based pricing and underwriting evaluation/approval policy
    • Customer satisfaction and experience insights
    • Financial and operational metrics – reporting dashboard on Tableau and associated data modeling
    • Annual plan (budget) and reforecasts, including cash flow and working capital projection
    • Business development opportunities
    • Benchmark and market studies
    • Revenue maximization, promotion planning and pricing
    • Cost minimization, operational efficiency and process improvement
    • Capital expenditure approvals
  • Provide in-depth analysis/commentary to the management on key trends, alerts, issues.
  • Liaise with process owners and develop a trusted partner status through high quality support and decision aiding analysis.

  • Professionally qualified – CA /CPA /ACCA /MBA/ CFA or equivalent.
  • 4-6 years of post-qualification professional experience within finance domain in bank, non-banking financial entities, fintech start-up or similar industry focused on consumer lending.
  • Previous experience with ERP systems like SAP and analytical platforms like Tableau/Power BI is must.
  • Strong analytical skills; should be capable of identifying and interpreting key business drivers.
  • Knowledge of data science, queries to identify patterns and customer payment behavior.
  • Self-starter, able to work across functions and in teams.  Results-driven, with the ability to perform on unstructured assignments.
  • Positive attitude and flexibility to work in a multicultural environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead effective collaboration with Freight Forwarders/Couriers for Shipment Collection.

JOB ROLE and KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
. Include working in a finance department for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, bank reconciliations and Intercompany Accounting. Verifying and booking of supplier and subcontractor invoices for payment as per Purchase Order/Sub-contract agreement.
. Checking and recording sub-contractors’ invoices based on documents received (e.g., payment certificates, etc.,) duly approved by the Project engineer/manager. Also reconcile the bills with our records (on retention, advance, material & other deductions, etc.,) and prepare the payment.
. Review of petty cash vouchers for the bills submitted and creating payment requests in the accounting system. Additionally, all expenses need to be allocated to their respective cost center and the appropriate project. Review, verification, approval, and accounting of payroll payments.
. Follow up on Cheque collection & disbursal to the suppliers/sub-contractors.
. Accurate accounting of the customer invoices as per contract/purchase order.
. Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
Review of physical inventory at site and reconciliation.
Periodic reconciliation of account statement with suppliers and customers.
. Responsible for accurate accounting of the invoices and payments on the Oracle system and its related files and the coordination for the upgrades to the system.
. Assist the Finance Manager in analyzing transactional processes and identify areas where additional accuracies and efficiencies can be achieved.
. Work with internal and external auditors during financial & operational audit.

SKILLS:
· Experience working in a contracting company is an advantage.
· Able to work independently and highly meticulous.
· Relevant experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Intercompany Accounting and Bank/Cash accounting is required
· Working with accuracy, speed and commitment is required.
· Good communication skill to interact and coordinate with other departments in the organization.
· Work experience in ORACLE will be an advantage.
· Good MS-Office skills particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel.
· Current knowledge of industry, regulatory and legislative developments affecting accounting and financial reporting functions.

QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or a similar discipline.
· CA/CMA part qualified will be an advantage for the senior role.
· 1 to 4 years of experience in finance and accounting.
